About MSR

MSR is run by Steven Cox, who has over 40 years' experience in electronic design, servicing and manufacturing. Steve ran his own electronics design and manufacturing company for 17 years.

MSR began inside that company in 2002 to support Minelab with a large Explorer XS refurbishment programme. After the company was sold, Steve continued MSR as Minelab's UK service centre until 2012, then worked freelance. In March 2014, at the request of dealers, Minelab appointed MSR as its independent UK Authorised Service Centre.

We repair to component level wherever possible rather than replacing whole assemblies, and we're always happy to give independent advice. We work with detectorists across the UK and overseas, including the USA, Canada and Australia.
